Home not so sweet home

I feel like I have neglected my dear Artemis Wilde and I wanted to share the reason. I wish I had some lovely painting to post for all to see. However...
As mentioned before, I recently bought a house and as it turns out there is a lengthy list of repairs to be made. Sigh... My things are still stored away in boxes and the only creature comforts we have are a bed and a sofa. I can't wait we are done with repairs and I can begin creating things again.
Until then, here is a photo of what will eventually be my studio, that is, when all other things are put in order. This was taken before we moved in. Right now this room is full of our worldly possessions and there is no creativity happening in there.

This little birdie has found a place to nest for the winter.

All of my paper, pens and paint are stuffed away in little brown boxes for safe travel. I'm taking a little break to set up my new house. It has space for a studio, yippee! Hopefully it will help me to make lots of lovely artwork for your viewing pleasure.

Jack Sprat could eat no fat,
His wife could eat no lean;

They licked the platter clean

On a happier note than the last post (someone told me it was sad). Here is my Illustration Friday submission.

Lost

Wishing my breadcrumbs hadn't been eaten up by the crows, blown away in the wind or washed up by the rain. Whichever it may have been I've been left, lost in the woods. Maybe some lovely fairy will twinkle me out of here.
